Goodbye old friend!!

Sold the yacht today!  Very torn!  We have had many great adventures in the lil boat and many great memories.  I know it was time but still very difficult to let go.  I haven't told the boys yet, I know they will be disappointed but it is done.  Hopefully to someone that will treat it great and have many great days on the pond as well.  They are Walleye hunters and fish as close to year round as possible for them.

Thanks for the memories!!

Late fall on Deer Creek

Been out a couple times in our alumacraft on Deer Creek it is still a great fishing boat.  I have had it on sales list for a couple months now but no one wants to pay what is worth.  Anyhow for our fishing trips.  Parker and I have taken it out the last couple weekends and had a ball fishing in it, it is perfect for the two of us.  We fished early morning and went until noon each day.  First day we manage to catch quite a few, although they were planters they had just released that week.  40K of them to be exact.  We had fun fishing and caught a number of them and released quite few of the as well.  Our next outing wasn't quite so productive but we did catch some fatties, cutting back and forth between the island and the white cliff area.  Each time we passed over the river channel we got a fish.  It was slow but good quality fish.  We finished off our trips with a quick stop to eat at Jose's, "Solo in Town" in Wallsburg and it was tasty, Jose puts on a great meal and for reasonable prices.
