Went fishing with Jim and Parker Saturday. Got a couple hits but that was it. Finally starting getting hits and the stinking trolling motor battery died. Yep time to go and complain about being given a starting battery rather than a deep cycle trolling battery. Day was good we laughed and told stories but without the control of the troller we were sitting ducks to the wind. So we packed up and went home at 11. Got a late start to boot seen a couple guys come off that were running down riggers and limited out early. They were running Christenson pink and orange squids. Got hits on the Red pop gear and worm, should have actually had 3 fish.
It was an ok morning still slow but we got a few and the sunrise was great. Seen balloons take flight and gliders out of Heber. Even got a perch today. Clouds were hanging low in the upper valley and the water was a little chopped early. By 9 the crazies hit the docks and the wakes were insane. We fought through them til noon and called it a day.
