Fishing Echo Reservoir
On Thursday, we fished Echo Reservoir, knowing that it would be extremely low by midsummer. The fishing reports had been positive, and the docks were in place. Jim met me at 6 a.m., and we loaded up. The drive is just over an hour from my house, and we arrived just as the sun crested the ridgeline. It was a bit chilly at 34 degrees, but it warmed up quickly. It was an absolute bluebird day, with no wind and few other boats when we launched. As the day went on, more fishing boats showed up, so we ran lanes to avoid heavy pressure, and we kept fish on the line all day. The go-to lure was a Yellow Perch Flicker Shad; both deep and shallow divers worked for us. Stop by and hang out with us. Hit the subscribe button and follow all our fishing adventures as we open Season 14 with episode 2.
