Fishing Deer Creek with Uinta Recreation

Thursday got on the pond with Adam Pulley owner of Uinta Recreation on his new Crestliner. A sweet boat 22 ft. long with a 300 hp Mercury on it that purs. When he starts it you can't even hear it run. It is set up for fishing with a Ulterra minkota on the bow and a kicker on the back. He needed to put some hours on it before he takes it to Powell and I was more than willing to assist. We got out late at 10:30 after his morning customers were taken care of, but we still managed a few fish.

We started down by the dam and trolled the lane along roadside a couple times and got nothing so we pulled our poles and ran up lake to the island. We fished the lanes there for an hour and got three rainbow one decent enough to keep.

Asa, Adam's son was meeting us at the dock at 1:00 pm so we headed back to the dock and picked him up. We dropped lines right out of the marina and Asa got a nice rainbow within minutes. We trolled the point down into rainbow bay and through the Bermuda triangle and got nothing making the decision to run the cliffs roadside I decided to throw a crank bait out just to see what would happen. Within seconds it had a hit and Asa brought in another nice rainbow trout. Changing up colors and completing our day going past the island and into the main channel the crank bait got yet another rainbow not big but fun on the light gear.

It was a great day and the boat worked beautifully. It will be fun on Powell for him and his family. We loaded the boat a t 3:30 and headed back to Heber. The fish made a nice dinner.
