More Strawberry Cutty's and Bows

Fishing Strawberry Reservoir in the fall is a blast the big fish come up and hit like trucks.  Today was just that. We threw jigs, cranks and lipless at them ans got fish on all types of lures.  We started out in the meadows and got into a couple right off.

A little while into the morning we were joined by Alan Sundquist on his boat and he tossed a few then moved into the back bay and started working toward us. We managed a few more fish before he joined back up with us, but we didn't lock into like he did. He caught a good baker's dozen and then when he joined us he slammed some huge Cutthroat along the weed beds. He gave us a lesson on how to catch fish that morning.  Alan had to go and left us reeling in a fit to try what he had just showed us.  Needless to say we didn't catch on to his technique.

The wind came and moved back into the narrows and worked our way back up to marina opening and along the way caught a few more cutthroat and rainbows. Shifty was on fire and everything he threw he got a fish. Me, not so much, I caught a few. Hopefully tomorrow brings a good day of catching if not at least there will be good company in the boat.
