Morning Troll at Deer Creek

Thursday Jim and I ventured back to Deer Creek. We launched at 6am and fished the dam leg of the reservoir for the morning. We fished 2 long line lead with pop-gear and worm and 2 long lines with Bandit medium depth lures. Jack of Diamonds produced again for us and a couple different lures got hits for us.

We had hit after hit and got 8 fish to the boat. We had a few break off 10lb fluorocarbon line with the hit. We had one big Rainbow trout destroy the split ring on one of the lures. We missed over a dozen fish that hit or broke off hooks.

The weather was off and on good, but by 9 am we called it seeing a big thunderstorm rolling toward us. We trailered the boat and got on the road just as that big storm hit us and it was a good thing we got off we would have gotten soaked! For only being on the water for 3 hours we had plenty of action and had a great morning troll.
