Texan at Scofield

Thursday our coworker Josh flew in form Dallas to hunt a late Elk draw with Jim. We decided to also introduce him to ice fishing. We met up at 7 and headed South for Scofield. Arriving at the ramp at 8:30, we made our way to the spot where we had good luck earlier.

We cut the first hole and dropped a line to see if any fish were in the area. We stayed here for a few minutes and seen nothing on the flasher. We pulled the sled to the next stop and started to clear off the snow to set the tent. We cut holes and had the tent set in few minutes and Josh was the first to land a fish.  His first fish on ice. Nothing big but a fish nonetheless.

We stayed here for the rest of the morning and caught over 30 fish. Josh caught the most on the day. Jim landed the big fish of the day. I got my fair share of fish on the deck. Nothing big on the day but it was a fun day. Josh enjoyed his first time on the ice.  I wonder what he would have thought if the ice had talked to us all day....lol.
