Jimmy invited me to go out his boat, many times, and it finally worked out to where I could join them. We met up at his house and loaded into his truck. we headed for Lindon marina and launched around 9 am. The water was calm and the day was hot. Max and Harrison joined us. We cruised out of the marina and turned north. Jimmy is getting to know this lake quite well and able to find fish when no one else is catching any. We moved into a spot that he had been to earlier. We rigged our poles and started casting.
It didn't take long for the fish to start hitting our jigs. Harrison started us off and then Max and the catching continued at a fast pace. Jimmy and I finally got on the board with our first fish of the day. We were fishing with curly tail grubs in all colors. As Jimmy pointed it out it really doesn't matter what color if they are there you will catch fish, and if they aren't there it doesn't matter what color you use you won't catch any. We fished for about an hour and a half and catching nice sized white bass with the occasional perch. I didn't even know they had perch in that lake. We tried to catch crappie but no luck. After we caught enough keepers for bait we went after catfish. We didn't find any on this trip. We tried some new spots, but they didn't pan out. Next time!
